Studio Policies

Rescheduling/Late Cancellation
You can reschedule a lesson at any time. If you cancel the same day as your lesson, you will still be charged your typical lesson rate.

Safety and Liability
My studio is in the safe and lovely neighborhood right by Memory Grove Park. The pathway up to the studio is clean, well-lit, and free of any tripping hazards. Please exercise caution during inclement weather, as rain, snow, or ice may cause the concrete path to be slippery. I am not liable for any injuries that occur on the premises.

I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work with students of all ages. If a student is a minor, I recommend having an adult present at the lessons or to have the student bring a recording device. I never want any of my students to feel unsafe or uncomfortable being alone in my studio! If I ever need to contact a student who is a minor via text, I will set up a group chat with their adults so that they can monitor the conversation for safety.

Rate Increases Schedule
My rates are based on my college degrees (A.S., B.M., M.M.) and my years of experience. My goal is to charge what I am worth but also keep prices affordable in order to serve members of the SLC Community that historically have been out-priced from quality music lessons.

When I raise rates, it is typically in August to line up with back-to-school schedules.

Payment
I accept payment through cash or Venmo and charge at the time of the lesson.  I currently only charge one lesson at a time.

Parking / Directions
My studio is located near Memory Grove Park on Canyon Road. Proximity to the park attracts a lot of traffic, so please be careful getting in and out of your vehicle.  Street parking during the day is free for up to 2 hours.

Availability/ Schedule
I offer lessons Monday-Thursday 3-8pm, Friday 3-7pm. If you are interested in lessons outside of that window,  please reach out via email.

Lesson Packages
Some of my students want a temporary experience rather than ongoing weekly lessons. Please reach out via email for more information on lesson packages.

Recitals
Recitals with Memory Grove Music are non-compulsory, but provide a unique way for students to build confidence and share their progress with the community. Memory Grove Music strives to create a recital environment free of the pressure of formality, competition or prestige. If you’re not having fun, what’s the point?

Our first recital was co-hosted by other studio teachers in the SLC area in January 2026, and it was a great success!

Publications
Keep an eye out for the Blog section of the website for access to my most recent writings. I love to write about music nearly as much as performing it!
